Extreeemley Late Christmas, New Year's, and Birthday Post...

Hey guys!! I can't believe how busy I've been lately!! Christmas, New Year's and my birthday came and went pretty quickly this year! So this year was our first Christmas just the two of us and it was great! I bought JC a gift card to Lids and he got me a Camel Bak :) I've been wanting one since my friend Ashley took me hiking with one a few years ago! I actually drank water out of it all day on Christmas lol JC made pork carnitas and we enjoyed them in burritos with rice and beans =) For my birthday JC took me to a PBR show! Unfortunately, I wasn't sure if I could bring my camera in and we parked really far so I didn't want to have to run back to the car, so I didn't get any pictures =( but we had an awesome time!! Saw some really great 8 second rides and the end came waaay too quickly! Can't wait until next year when we can go to the National Western Stock Show again!! JC made me some oven fried chicken, rice and corn for dinner and cupcakes for dessert for my birthday… it was all delicious!

Here are some pictures of our latest adventures:

JC and I went hiking on Christmas Eve, which may become a new tradition :) Here are the dogs at Lair o' the Bear Park...they love snow!! Gizmo had so much energy he kept running way ahead and then circling back around because JC and I were too slow!

Can't believe how thick the ice was on this creek!

And this cute little house made me feel like we were in Tuscany or something :)

The dogs don't understand how dangerous the ice and river are...hard to keep them off it

And, after opening my present, we had to go hiking again the day after Christmas....this is beautiful Sand Creek Greenbelt located in Denver :)

Beautiful day in Denver!!

JC and the dogs enjoying a gorgeous day :)

And remember my Facebook post about going to see the Northern Lights?? Drove all the way to the mountains to see Denver in the dark...very pretty, although disappointing...

And let me introduce you to George Orwell, Salman Rushdie, and Edgar Allan Poe our newest additions :) Can you tell I'm married to a writer?? sorry it's hard to get fish to pose for pics… will hopefully get some better ones =)

We've been so busy with the move that we haven't done anything exciting since going to the rodeo. Hopefully, after we get everything unpacked and settled we can go hiking again! Also, Kelsey and Josh will be coming to visit us in the beginning of March, so you know some adventures will be taking place that weekend =) Stay tuned for more pics of our new apartment and other adventures!! Very exciting stuff in the near future =)
